Mac Miller Signs To Warner Bros. Records

Mac Miller has reportedly signed a $10 million deal with Warner Bros. Records to incorporate his REMember imprint upstart into the larger label. After releasing his mixtape Faces independently earlier this year, Mac Miller will now release his own music as well as “sign and develop new artists” through REMember/Warner Bros. according to FADER. "Warner is the most independent thinking company I met with," the Watching Movies with the Sound Off emcee said. "It is a partnership and now I can focus on building my label REMember through music and let them handle everything I don't like doing. Nothing will change in how I do things."

Pharrell Set To Produce Snoop Dogg’s Entire Upcoming Album

Now that Snoop is done beefing with Iggy Azalea, the focus can be put back on the music. ICYMI, Uncle Snoop’s next project will be released under Pharrell’s imprint, I Am Other and Columbia Records. According to a recent Instagram post via I Am Other’s page, the upcoming album is set to feature Charlie Wilson and Stevie Wonder. For this album, Snoop is hanging up his reggae alter-ego that was channeled on his 2013 effort Reincarnated, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Reggae Album chart. And, if you remember the last time The Neptunes co-produced a Snoop album, was in the form of "Rhythm & Gangsta: The Masterpice." All the singles released on the album were Neptune production,  from "Lets Get Blowin" to "Drop It like It's Hot," and let us not forget the classic Snoop song "Beautiful," which Pharrell featured on and produce off Snoog Doggs "Paid Tha Cost To Be The Boss" album. Snoop Dogg is one of the few legends who has still been able to stay relevant; add that to the fact that Pharrel- who turns everything he touches into gold, and that gives this latest Snoop album the potential to be the greatest Snoop album. Still no timetable on a release date. Lets all just hope its coming soon.

P.S. We have new albums from Logic and Boyz II Men, and new singles from Drake, Joe Budden, Snoop Dogg, and The Weekend.

Crooked I Responds To Talk Of Slaughterhouse Vs Black Hippy Battle

About a week ago, news broke that Ab-Soul of TDE was open to the idea of his Black Hippy crew battling against the other four-man rap collective of Slaughterhouse. One of the members of SH has now given his perspective on the potential blockbuster face off. Crooked I hopped on Twitter yesterday to tell his followers he is not focused on Slaughterhouse vs Black Hippy. The California native says he is more interested in making impactful music and taking on less talented “culture vultures” in Hip Hop.
