Kanye West: “I Am Humbly Top 5 Of All Time: Dead Or Alive!”

And he wasn't lying. Kanye West is easily one of the top five MCs of all time. Jay Z is the only rapper with more classic albums than Ye', and when it comes to features you can't really name someone better. West made the proclamation at the Albany, NY stop on his Yeezus Tour shouting, “I am humbly top 5 of all time: dead or alive. Let me humbly show you what I’m talking about.” “When I say genius, why is that offensive? Like I hurt somebody… Rap is all geniuses. When you go to school don’t they talk about poets, like they geniuses? What y’all witnessing; Wayne, Eminem, Drake, Jay Z, right now in front of you, doing genius work. But because we’ve got gold chains and we’ve got gold teeth they don’t wanna think we’re geniuses.” This is TrueMusic's Top 5 MCs of all time dead or alive. Obviously, Jay Z is number one. Anyone who disagrees with this one doesn't know music. Reasonable Doubt, In My Lifetime Vol.2, The Blueprint, The Black Album, and The Blueprint III, enough said. Kanye West Gets the number two spot because he has four of the greatest albums of all time (College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy). The only reason Tupac gets the number three spot is because he wasn't alive long enough to out rap Jay and Ye', but his music is timeless. Number four goes to Eminem; the white boy can rap and has even out rapped Jay and Kanye on features. Not, to mention he made The Slim Shady LP and The Marshall Mathers LP. Now,, the number five spot is always debatable and you can make strong arguments for a few other artist but it goes to Andre 3000. If you give any of these five rappers a beat, Three Stacks is most likely to come up with the illest versel plus he made Stankonia and Aquemini. You may wonder why Biggie did not make the list. It is very simple he only has two albums. Bo Jackson was a great running back, but he's not in the hall of fame, because he didn't play long long enough.
