Tha Carter V Is Coming Before The Pinkprint

Well, it looks like Drake had it wrong, when it came to the May 5th release date of Tha Carter V, and then end of Lil Wayne's rap career. But, then again, word on the street is that Drake and the rest of Young Money aren't on the best of terms; so he may not exactly be in the loop. Just last week, Wayne's manager, Cortez Bryant shot down the May 5th release date, while praising the album, claiming this will be better than Tha Carter III. Even the man in charge, Birdman gave insight into two of his top artists, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj, upcoming projects. While discussing Nicki Minaj's career with Billboard, Baby stated that some of Young Money will appear on Nicki's new album, which has no release date as-of-yet. While we don't have a release date for Nicki or Wayne's album, Birdman gives us somewhat of a timeline. Stating that Tha Carter V will arrive before Minaj's third album, The Pinkprint: "This album is going to have a little bit if everything but more rap. I am sure some of the team will be on it. She's still doing her thing, then getting features on it. She's definitely coming this year. She hasn't picked a date yet. What she did for Young Money is totally different then what she;s doing for her album. She;s more girly-er. Tha Carter V will definitely come befor Nicki's (album)." The release date for Nicki's new album may never be released until the day the album comes out, according to the rap superstar. Back in February, Nicki Minaj informed Angie Martinez on The Angie Martinez Show that "The Pinkprint is not going to have a release date. You'll never know when it's coming until it just comes." However, Minaj did specify that her album release will not be identical to Beyonce's but similar: "Not all the way, I won't set a release date until the album is really done until I've lived with it for a long time... I'm not going to pull a B. I'm just going to chill for a second and see how it goes."

50 Cent Talks Lil Boosie & Nas Collaboration + Drops New Song & Music Video

50 Cent is defintely back in full promo mode for the release of his upcoming album "Animal Ambition." In the latest of a long line of recent press appearances, Fif' sat down with Vibe to talk about possible collaborations with Lil Boosie and moving past his feud with Nas.

On working with Boosie:

"Boosie had an idea that we were doing together and I'm not sure if I ever got back his vocals on it. Because right after, he was charged with murder and then that shit just got out of hand. I got to get up with him. He tried to reach out to me as soon as he got out, but I was traveling and had so much shit going on. I'll give him a call this week.. I haven't had a chance to finish (the song) but possibly you can hear something from me and Lil Boosie. I'd like to get something goingwith him. I don't know what was going on with that situation, all I know is at the time I wanted to work with him."

On possibily working with Nas:

"Nas is still Nas. I was disappointed in Nas when we had our little difference, because I thought he didn't see the possibilities. We never saw the crew that blew up in connection to his actual success. You saw the crew that blew up in connection with Jay Z: Roc-A-Fella. It's a little disappointing that he didn't broker what we had at the moment. At the end of it, the ni**a's still Nas. He ain't never did nothing that I would haves; so I'm cool with him. It's just...we'll watch and see. They play word games and then get upset when I say something, but it's not that serious to me. I don't care."

And 50 doesn't just stop with the press moves, he's finally delivering on all the music he has promised us over the last couple of years. Just yesterday, he released his new track "Pilot". The song is the follow-up to 50's previous singles "Hold On" and "Don't Worry 'Bout It" from his upcoming album Animal Ambition. Download the song and watch the video below.
