True Music of 2013

2013 was a great a great year in hip-hop. We had seven rap artist number one albums on Billboard Top 200, A$AP Rocky's Long Live A$AP, Kanye's Yeezus, Wale's Gifted, J.Cole's Born Sinner, Jay Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail, Drake's Nothing Was The Same, and Eminem's MMLP2. Not to mention, Justin Timberlake put out two number one album, with a hip hop vibe, completely produced by Timberland. And don't forget Beyonce's album, which is currently number one in seven countries. Hip hop was also graced with albums from T.I., Joe Budden, Lil Wayne, and Tyler The Creator, and Talib Kweli. The only thing that could have made this year better, would have been another album from Kendrick Lamar. With up and coming artists like Chance The Rapper, Ab-Soul, TuT, Mac Miller, and Add-2, all expected to have a big year in 2014; it's safe to say hip hop is alive and well. Although, 2013 had it far share of ignorance, with the "Hanna Montana" "Molly" "Rachet" "Turnt Up" fades in full effect, the game is still promising. With so many real artists making the crossover to pop culture, we finally have a platform for the rest of the world to hear. True music in hip hop has never been better.

P.S. Here are Angle Haze, Briget Kelly and Troy Ave's latest project along with some new singles, including one from Drake, for the end of the year. And don't forget to check out TrueMusic's Girl Next Door.
