True Music 2014

2014 is poised to be yet another great year in hip-hop. To kick off the year, this month we can expect 50 Cent's Animal Ambition mixtape. It has been over three years since 50's last project, Before I Self Destruct, which didn't even go gold. However, this was mainly due to the fact that the album leaked four weeks before it actual release date. Before I Self Destruct was actually Fif's best reincarnation of Get Rich Or Die Trying, with a much more darker and aggressive concept than his previous projects. Animal Ambitions is expected to fall along the same lines, along with his upcoming album Street Kings Immortal. As for February, the date has finally been set on the 25th for Schoolboy Q's highly anticipated album Oxymoron. Hip-hop heads should also receive the Young Chris debut solo album I'm Alive before the end of march. Not to mention, Joe Budden fans will be getting the Some Love Lost EP in the first quarter, followed by the album All Love Lost. T-Pain's Stoicville and Chris Brown's X album are also set to drop before the end of the first quarter. Another artist on the R&B scene will be Jhene Aiko, who has literally been the dopest chick on the scene the last two years. And we all are waiting on Fab's Loso Ways 2, after the dope x-mas gift he gave us with The Soul Tape 3. Even Meth & Redman are dusting off the mic to both drop individual LPs. On top of all that, hip-hop will be graced with albums from Ludacris, T.I., Rick Ross, Lupe Fiasco, and the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. Finally, we can expect an actual rap album from Nicki Minaj as she has decided to leave pop alone and return to hip-hop. These are just the project we scheduled for the major artists, with all the hard work these underground MC's have been putting in, 2014 will definitely be better than last year.
