Well, it looks like the Drake versus Jay Z beef is heating up. Drake has apparently changed his "Diss me, you'll never hear a reply for it" mandate to mean you won't hear your name on a record. However, yesterday The Raptors "Global Ambassador" joined on the Toronto Sports Network's commentary of the Raptors/Nets Game 1 playof match up at Air Canada Center. Before calling the match up "ironic", Drake once again mocked Jay Z's love for high end items by saying "Jay Z somewhere eating a fondue plate right now." This is the first time Drake has mentioned Jay by name since his disrespectful remarks leaked from his Rolling Stone interview back in February. The entire Raptors organization seemed to be on full scale assult mode. Prior to Drake's comments, the Toronto Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri yelled to a rowdy crowd of Raptor fans "F*ck BROOKLYN!" This beef will definitely be good for hip-hop, and could even turn into the next great battle in hip-hop. Although, even with all Drake's skill, he might just be shooting himself in the foot here. Just ask Nas "you don't want it with HOV." Jay definitely won't take this one lightly, and hopefully it stimulates Hov to release some new music. Either way two of the best MCs in the game are going head to head and that hasn't happened in over a decade. Check out Drake mention Jay Z, as well as Masai Ujiri's "F*ck Brooklyn" chant below.
