Eminem & Spike Drop Headlights For Mother's Day

Eminem decided to release the visuals for the fifth single Headlights, off of his double platinum Marshall Mathers LP 2. The music video, which is directed by legendary Spike Lee, released on Mother's Day, and rightfully so. The song is arguably one of the realist and heartfelt tracks in Em's entire discography. Even without visuals, the song paints a picture of the love/hate relationship with mother Debbie Mathers. Everyone knows the "Cleaning Out My Closet" record, that pretty much says it all, Em' has consistently vented his frustrations with his mother. This song however, display the love and appreciation he has for his mother, along with the frustration of not having the close relationship he wishes he could have with his mother. Spike Lee even gave his insight on the song and the artistic expression of the video. "I really love the narrative for what we've come up together for "Headlight." It's a great story. It's heartfelt. Some pain in it. But, that's why we're here back in 8 Mile Detroit. Shooting where it all took place." Here are the visuals that Spike Lee and Eminem created. Happy belated Mother's Day to all the female hip-hop heads with children.
