Ja Rule Announces New Album, Movie, & TV Show On The Way

It has been over a year since Ja Rule was released from a two year prison stint for gun possession. Besides a couple tracks and a media blitzkrieg for a couple weeks for a movie he co-stared in, that coincided with the release of his book; there really hasn't been much from Ja musically. Apparently the R.U.L.E is ready to make a full comeback to both music and acting. In a recent interview, Ja Rule told HipHopVibe he plans to release a new album in 2015 and that he has another movie in the works. "Early 2015, you'll be getting new music from me. I'll put out my new album. It's called Genius Loves Company. We wrokin'. I'm not in no rush. I want to make sure the music is right, the timing is right. What the fans don't understand about business is that timing is everything." Last year the creator of the Pain Is Love album starred in the faith-based film I'm In Love With A Church Girl, with Adrienne Bailon, Michael Madsen, and T-bone. Ja also announced that he is up for a role in a Queen Latifah/Flavor Unit Films project in the near future. "We go a big, big project that we're putting together right now that should be coming probably in the next year. And, I got my TV show that I'm working on and producing few TV shows so it's going to be a good year." Now this new generation (as in the millennials) only has the vague memory of Ja Rule as 50 Cent's corny arch nemesis, but from 99'-02' Ja couldn't be touched. Ja has the potential to make classics and the shadow of 50 is long gone so you never know. He's definitely worth the listen. Check out the Ja Rule interview below.
