Without making a beat or hardly laying a hook, DJ Khaled has somehow been able to make a lasting impression on the world of hip-hop. During a recent interview with Larry King, Khaled explains how he is the "Quincy Jones of Hip Hop." After informing Larry King that he does not rap, he explains howhe arranges the songwriters, the producers, and the artists. "I don't sing. I don't rap. I call it, doing the Khaled. I might be on the hook. I might be on the intro, but at the end of the day, it's like how Quincy (Jones) would put together a record. Salute to Quincy Jones, icon. I;m like Barry Gordy, the Quincy Jones of Hip Hop." Constructing hit after hit, the We The Best CEO will be releasing his eighth studio album later this year. This will also be Khaled's fifth album in just as many years, and even though his albums may not top the charts, his singles always do. With over 14 million single sold and a constant star studded cast, DJ Khaled will most likely continue to set the sound for the following year. Here is the snippet of the interview.
