Timbaland: Missy Elliot's New Album Is On The Way

For the most part, Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliot has been out of the limelight for almost a decade, and a lot of these 90's baby's don't know that she is arguably the greatest female MC of all-time. Those of you who can remember 1997 like it was yesterday, you remember Missy's debut album "Supa Dupa Fly" being the sound of the year. Album after album, hit after hit, for eight year Missy "Small Crime" Elliot gave us six albums and five classics. Although, she's been been fairly quite, gracing us with sporadic features (usually in her singing voice); Missy has never left. Still in the topping Billboards Top 100 lists in the form of songwriter/producer for everyone from Jennifer Hudson to Katie Perry, you guys bump Missy Elliot and don't ever know it. Now, according to long time friend, collaborator, and super producer Timbaland, she is ready to step back in the public eye. In a recent interview with Rollin Stone, Timbaland spoke on Missy's upcoming album. "It's coming. It's on her. She got the first single, it's just a matter of when she wants to do it. We got the hollow-tip bullet in the gun. We have the game changer right there." Timbaland also sheds some light on her recording process, and oddly enough; after over two decodes of working together, he has never even seen her lace a track. "I've never watched her record, never in my whole career. I do it, she be like, 'OK, I got it,' and I leave the room. She kicks us out. That's how she do it: She does everything herself." Not sure if the album has a title, or if it will be a continuation of the "Block Party" album she has been working on since 2007; but at least we know it's coming. And, with the two Seven City natives, Tim and Missy back in the studio together, it is sure to be another classic.
