Is Wu-Tang Forever?

"Wu-Tang is forever. I'll never take back that statement" says RZA during a recent interview with the Associated Press. This could not be any closer to the truth. All eight remaining members, as well as Cappadonna, could go meet Dirt McGirt in the heavens right now, and their legacy would outlast the sun. The Wu-Tang Clan are the epitome of Masters Of Ceremonies, and according to RZA the these MC's will finish their sixth album by January. RZA has always been the leader and master mind behind the group and its movement, so naturally he has been involved with the process from start to finish. Also, he goes on to mention that Method Man has been an intricate part of the process already laying down eight or nine tracks. Cappadonna will be on it, Ghost has contributed to twenty percent of the album, and U-God's presence will be felt. RZA went on to state that Masta Killa and Inspectah Deck have been present during the making, but Raekwon has yet to lay down a verse. And From the tone of Rae on twitter i doubt he will. When asked about Raekwon, or lack there of on the album, RZA said "That's something that I would take a vote on with the rest of the crew," RZA says. "I'm not a dictator about that. Raekwon is a valuable energy to the Wu-Tang, his voice, his lyrics, his approach. Rae is a master lyricist." However, most shocking to me, was the lack of mention when it comes to the GZA. If RZA is The God The Father, GZA is The Holy Spirit. I'm not sure if absence of his name was intentional, or simply due to the fact that the GZA being on a Wu-Tang album needs no mention. Either way every last member is a straight lyricist, so it's bound to be a great hip hop album, regardless of any absence. Just take The W for example, they completed that without Ol' Dirty Bastard during his incarceration. No matter what, be it Raekwon, GZA, ODB, or any member's absenteeism, they will be greatly missed by all.

P.S. For those who just come to the site for music, here is Chris Brown's new EP X-Files and Trae Tha Truth's mixtape I Am King, along with the link to some other songs. As well asa recent interview with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Enjoy!
