With just three words Jay Z’s Roc Nation announces its new partnership with Jeezy’s CTE. “It’s Official Now” is the headline on Jay’s Life+Times website with a picture of the two rap stars. The caption below the photo simply reads, “CTE x Roc Nation x It’s Tha World.” No further details of the deal have been announced. Jeezy and Jay have a long business relationship. The Snowman released his major label debut Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101 on Def Jam at the time Jigga was president of the company. Jay appeared on the classic track “Go Crazy” off the album. Also, Jeezy was featured on The Blueprint III: As Real As It Gets, and Jay was featured last year on Jeezy's TM103 hit single I Do.This is the second big announcement for Roc Nation this week. His upcoming album Trouble Man: He Who Wears The Crown will be released early next year through Grand Hustle/Columbia Records. The album will be executively produced by Pharrell, with DJ Toomp and Timbaland also having some production. Congrats T.I.P. and Grand Hustle on the deal.
