Complex Media recently ranked the top fifty albums of 2013, and Wale's The Gifted was omitted from the list. The MC was displeased to say the least. He even went as far as to call the company up and vent his frustrations. "You mean to tell me Juicy J album better than mine? Is that what you trying to tell me?" Things turned volatile when Wale threatened to come to the Complex offices and harm the writers: "I swear to God I’ll come to that office and start knocking n****s the fuck out! You want to see some ghetto ignorant sh*t?! That’s what y’all promote! That’s the only thing y’all promote from ni**as, is ghetto ignorant sh*t!" He may have chosen the wrong way to go about it, but what he is saying is right. All the media ever promotes is ignorance. Juicy J, French Montana, and Migos albums should have been in the top fifty worst albums of all time, and the fact that ASAP Rocky's album was ranked higher than Jay Z's Magna Carta is a travesty. ASAP Ferg, Mac Miller, Earl Sweatshirt, and Childish Gambino all put out solid albums, but none were better than J. Cole's Born Sinner. The fact is J. Cole had the best Album of the year, Kanye West should have took the second spot with Yeezus, and Eminem's MMLP2 was easily number three. Jay Z's Magna Carta, Holy Grail should be number four, and Pusha T deserved the number five spot. Although, Wale isn't the greatest Master Of Ceremonies his album shout not only have been on the list, but it should have been in the number six slot, without a doubt. There can be only one of two options, ninety percent of the media outlets will collapse any day now, due to the fact that the people who run the media are so incompetent, or that it is a deliberate plot do stupefy and brainwash the masses into violent ignorant beings. There will be no collapse of the media anytime soon, so it it most likely the latter.
P.S. Here is the full list from Complex along with some real hip-hop, and and some new leaks. Also, check TrueMusic's latest Girl Next Door.
