Rick Ross The Mastermind

Rick Ross has finally set a release date for his album entitled Mastermind, which has been pushed back twice already. Ross has went on record back in 2011 saying that he is the type of artists that never has to push back an album, yet this is his second consecutive album that has been considerably delayed. His last two albums were both pushed back over nine months. Ross must have finally got the right formula, because he's ready to go now. He has already released the first single off the album "The Devil Is A Lie" featuring Jay Z. The song is great and even though Jay definitely kills his verse, Ross holds his own very well. Ricky Rozay has just recently been coming into his own with his music. He has always provided a great sound and with a good delivery, but his previous albums lacked authenticity. Although, Ross has had commercial success, but has yet to release a platinum album. If you remember, following his "Officer Ricky" scandal he dropped Deeper Than Rap, which didn't even go gold. This is mainly due to the fact that he has based his life off of legendary drug kingpin Freeway Rick Ross. You don't have to live the life that Ross appears to portray to know that it is all a facade. However, now "Every Day I'm Hustlin" rapper can tell a story of being a boss, making business transactions, and living a life of luxury, while stay honest and true to his fans. Honest is what truly connects to fans, especially true hip-hop heads. Ross' last few mixtapes and features have seemed a step above his previous works, and from what we hear so far we can expect the same from his sixth solo album. Now you can say what you want about Ross as an artists, but as a business man Ross is up there with the best of them. There haven't been many, if any rappers to achieve the level of financial success as Ross. He has managed to turn Maybach Music Group into the hottest group in the industry, in a very short period of time. The date is set for March 4th. The release was promoted by Hype Williams, who produced a viral video, courtesy of Diddy's Revolt TV, that contains cryptic messages within it. Take a look for yourself.
