What Meek Mill's Dreams Are Worth

Meek Mill has been doing his thing for the better part of a decade, and over the last two years, Meek Mill has become one of the hottest MCs in the game. All the hype has led to Meek being on at the of every artists list when it comes time for a feature, and has caused a lot of copycats, when it comes to mimicking Meek's flow. Although, with Meek Milli in the mainstream, we've only been given a glimpse of his versatility and lyricism. Always one to put his real life in his rhymes, as of late the MMG artist has mainly made music about money and material things. Most may not know it, but Meek is much deeper than that. And, now with his finances in order and the release of his sophomore album vastly approaching; the Dreams & Nightmares MC is making it all about the music. In a recent interview with HipHopSince1987, the current king of street music spoke on his upcoming album. When asked about the motivation behind the title of the new album, "Dreams Worth More Than Money," had this to say: "'Cause the dreams is worth more than money. At first we was doing it for the love of the money. Gotta make some m's, but now you know we got the money. Well, I got the money, and right now my other n*ggas is trying to touch them m's too. I'm trying to be one of the best now on some competitional shit too, at the same tome. First it was really all about the money. Now that I got some money...dreams worth more than my money." Describing the features on the album, Meek says his usual supporting cast will appear. He also hopes to have some other big names, that would turn the album into a start studded cast. "You can expect the Chasers on it. Just everybody. The hottest n*ggas in the game. Trying to get Hov on my shit, Rihanna on my shit, Drake on my shit. Whoever the best, Kendrick. I want to spit with the best and only work with the best of the best." With this type of mindset, coupled with the undeniable skills Meek possesses, this album should be much better than the last. No scheduled date yet, but the LP is set to be released sometime this summer.
